History:
Family: Katia only found love in her mother’s arms, and only when she was a child, before her magic began to grow. Her mother became distant the more real Katia’s magic seemed, and eventually couldn’t bear to be around her anymore. Her father was the opposite, instantly disowning her as soon as they discovered her magic if it wasn’t going to be useful. When she started pretending to admire him, he was more than happy to spoil her, providing she did what he wanted.
Personal: Katia was the only witch in her village, and when her parents found out her mother was desperate to keep it a secret, while her father wanted to her powers for his own gain, or get rid of her. Once the village found out they began to treat her like vermin, binding her to prevent her from attacking them, only allowing her to use magic when it benefited people of the village, trying to keep her as their secret. She was raised much like a pet, and the only magic she ever performed was wandless and under great physical pain. Once she was in her early teens she convinced her father that if she had a wand she would be able to do anything for him, swearing her allegiance to him. As soon as she had it, she left, destroying as much of the village as she could, and escaping to Durmstrang.
