Off day

Ashley needed to replenish his potions ingredients so that was one of his first places he made sure to stop in. The books he needn't bother about since most of what he'd be doing was practical this year. With it being his last year he would be be busy with the N.E.W.T.S. Frowning a bit as he slowly walked about the shop looking at the dissected bits and other ingredients, he wondered what he should do when he graduated. There wasn't anything in the magical world that pulled his interest nor did he want to take over his father's business. Any other job in the muggle world he'd have to actually go to a muggle university for.

Running a hand through his blond hair he mussed it up in frustration. Pushing all those thoughts aside he reached up to grab the jar of powdered moonstone. Turning his head he caught sight of a familiar person. Blinking, the teen wondered if he should go talk to her or not. For some reason his mouth went dry though and he shifted a bit in nervousness. She was probably busy and he wasn't used to feeling uncomfortable like this. Quickly scooping out and bagging what he needed he wen to put the jar back and swore when it fell and broke. This was not his day.

Molly had never been the type of person that enjoyed Potions. She wasn't sure how anyone could handle it. It wasn't that she was afraid of getting her hands dirty or anything, she wasn't that kind of girl, it was just something about touching, and sometimes killing, dead animals that chilled her to the bone. The only good thing about it was that she knew that she would never be able to be a murderer, of innocent people at least. She couldn't promise anyone that if she was faced with a cold blooded killer that she wouldn't kill him in return. They would deserve it, even if it would haunt her conscience for the rest of her life.

In fact if it wasn't for her boss, she would never have even stepped foot in the place, but it had been a slow day so he sent her off to fetch some polyjuice potion. He wouldn't tell her why, only that it was important for a project coming up sometime in the week. Being the good little auror she was she had complied without arguing, no matter how much she had wanted to slap him in the face. This was the only job she had and without it she would probably be living on the streets.

She walked towards the section for finished potions, trying to avoid looking at the dead animal parts. She would be fine as long as she didn't look directly at them. She sighed and scanned the rows labeled P for any sight of the potion she was looking for. "Psyllium Potion, Parting Potion, aha Polyjuice Potion." The blonde muttered under her breath. Molly jumped as she heard a loud crash coming from somewhere in the store. Her curious side got the better of her and she turned her head towards the noise, spotting a familiar face by the mess.

"Ashley? Is that you?"

Looking over hearing Molly say his name, the Slytheirn flinched and wished the ground could swallow him up. He was never this clumsy! There had only been a few instances when he'd been going through a growth spurt but Ashley had thankfully been spared most of that awkwardness. But now here he was embarrassing himself in front of a girl.

Trying to blush from embarrassment the teen nodded. Relief and thankful that he didn't have to worry about his voice cracking as he would have a couple years ago, he replied, "Fancy meeting you here, Molly."

Quickly looking over his shoulder, he walked away from the mess on the floor to allow some nearby first years get in trouble for it. There fault for not leaving first and allowing him to leave while the clerk was distracted by customers.

"What brings you down here?"

Molly nodded and raised her eyebrow as she watched Ashley walk over to where she "Yes, fancy," her tone was light, and she smiled slightly at him. "I could ask you the same question. But I was looking for some potion for the old boss." She nodded, trying to stop her smile broadening too much into something that could possibly be taken as condescending at his blush. She couldn't help herself, though. It was frankly adorable. "Polyjuice potion. You know. Because aurors need them for their job, and well." She hoped that was sufficient explanation.

She reached up and ran a hand through her hair. They hadn't seen each other in about a year, but that was common for Molly. She spent most of her time cooped up in her office, just waiting for something exciting to happen. Apparently the second wizarding war had pushed many dark wizards into hiding, but she had a feeling that wouldn't last.

"So, how have you been?" She asked keeping light conversation.
