Gewissen had been tracking her target for a few weeks. Her employer would have wanted her to take the target out when he was in Paris but that would have been too public, and Gewissen could have been caught. A time limit had never been specified, and she was never one to rush a job simply for the satisfaction of the employer. Her ethos was if they had a problem with her methods and timing then they could go to someone else and she would find another to hire her and kill the prospective employer. That always put a stop to the blossoming of any arguments or complaints. Gewissen was not one to kill now unless she was being paid for it. Under no circumstances did that mean that if she wanted to someone to die, that they would live.

The target had made the crossing from France to Britain and Gewissen had followed, waiting and watching for the right moment to arrive. Portsmouth had not been the correct oppertunity either. It had taken until Bristol before Gewissen had been able to make her move.

The target had just left the rememnants of an old Roman Bath and was walking through the quiet streets. There was no one around and Gewissen had made sure of this. She did not want to be spotted by anyone, it didn't do anything for her image.

She followed behind the target until they came to a stop to remove something from their pocket. That was when Gewissen struck. It was surprisingly easy to drive a knife through the back of the throat, and she had made sure that her blades were the sharpest in the whole of Europe. There was the usual splutting noises and Gewissen left the knife embedded in the target. That was her signiture call. That was her avertisement. The right people would hear of this and they would know who she was and that she was available for hire.

She moved around to face the target and moved the hood a little further back on her head in order to better expose her face. She smiled at the target who was staring at her with shock and pain in every line of their face. She removed another knife from the folds of her cloak and slashed at the front of the target's throat, ducking a little in order to avoid the spray of blood that followed. The spluttering and choaking noises were even more prominant and obvious than before and Gewissen wanted this finished fairly quickly. She slashed the knife at the face and then rammed it through the eye socket and as deep in as it could go.

The target stopped moving and Gewissen removed the knife from their eye. The target dropped to the ground and Gewissen put one of her black satin gloves on her free hand. With that hand, she tore a peice of fabric from the body and wiped her blade clean of the blood. After that she let the fabric flutter to the ground and replaced her knife. She was ready to turn and leave when she caught sight of something clutched in the body's hand.

Crouching down on her knees, Gewissen removed a piece of parchment with an address and a time written on it. There was something else that caught her attention though. She felt dark magic on the parchment. This was always a good and interesting sign.

The Hogs Head, Hogsmeade. Wednesday 18:24 Gewissen frowned and tucked the parchment away in her pocket. This was definatly worth investigating, to say the least.
