The Aftermath Empty
PostSubject: The Aftermath    The Aftermath EmptyThu May 31, 2012 7:42 am

Draco apparated everyone straight to the living room, where Astoria was already waiting for them. He made sure none of the children fell because of their disorientation and made sure they were all seated before he left the room. He needed to get potions from his shop, but first he would have to inform the Weaslette he had her son. He waved his wand, muttering the incantation. It had taken him a long time to master this particular spell, as he had never found a memory actually happy enough to do it.

The silvery peacock appeared in front of him, standing proudly. "Deliver a message to Ginny Weasley, wherever she may be," he informed it, and paused, forming the message in his head. "Your son is okay, I took him to Malfoy Manor. The house-elves are waiting for your arrival," he informed it, and then sent it off. It disappeared through the window, and Draco once again called for an house-elf. He ordered it to stand guard at the gate, and get him or his wife whenever someone wanted to enter, immediately. It nodded and disappeared with a crack.

He apparated away as well, trusting his wife with the children. He needed to get certain draughts from his shop, draughts that would help with the pain they were still feeling, potions that would help them sleep and possibly a common calming draught as well. He thought they would need all of those, so he had better hurry.

The Aftermath Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Aftermath    The Aftermath EmptyThu May 31, 2012 8:25 am

Astoria panicked the moment she heard the news. She just couldn't believe that someone would actually attack the ministry. Had they not learned from what had already happened with Lord Volde-, no. After all this time she still couldn't say or even think his name. The wounds of the war were still fresh on everyones mind and it was just typical that when the world was just starting to maybe forget that this would happen and bring everything back up again.

She sat in the living room waiting for Draco to arrive. She had ordered a house elf to bring glasses of water because she had a feeling they would need it. When they arrived she immediately walked over to where Scorpius was sitting and embraced him in a tight hug. "Are you okay? Did you get hurt?" She asked scanning him for bruises. When it came to her only son she was very protective. She then took the time to smile at the other two. "Your mother must be worried sick Albus, dear." She said hugging him as well before turning her attention to Rain.

"I don't believe we have met before" She smiled kindly at the young girl and sat down. She was watching her own movements closely trying not to upset the children, it felt as if she was walking on thin ice. They had just witnessed something she thought children would never have to witness again after the second war. She wasn't sure what she would do if she ever found out who it was. She just hoped that whatever happened next wouldn't blow up quiet as much as last time.

Scorpius stumbled into a chair, taking Albus with him, but as his mother came over and hugged him he was forced to let go of Albus for a moment. Though he didn't let go of the boy's hand. He refused to let go of his hand. He clung to his mother until she started scanning him for bruises, shaking his head, though he didn't know exactly what he was saying no to. "I'm fine," he said, voice croaky. "There was-!" he felt himself begin to choke up, unable to say it. "Just a bit of pain."

He turned his attention to Albus instead, hoping that Rain would keep his mother busy, or tell her what had happened. He ran a hand through the dark locks, searching Albus' green eyes for a sign that he was okay. He had to be okay. Scorpius began stroking his thumb over Albus' face, wiping away the tears as he spoke.

"Are you okay? Are you still hurting?" he asked. "My father will have gone to the shop, I'm sure of it. To get potions for it," Scorpius couldn't help himself. He knew that his mother was there, next to him. He knew that his father could re-appear at any moment. But he didn't know how else to really express how glad he was that Albus was there with him. He leant forward, crushing Albus' lips in a desperate kiss, hoping he'd understand.

Albus let himself being pulled into the chair, landing half on top of Scor, but he didn't move away too far. Only so Scorpius' mother could pull her son into a hug. He smiled tightly when Mrs Malfoy told him his mother must be worried sick. But if she was worried sick, then why wasn't she here yet? She was supposed to be here. Al could feel tears spring back into his eyes, turning away from Mrs Malfoy and leaning into Scor's hand in his hair. He felt a thumb wipe away the tears on his cheeks and shook his head.

"I´m okay," he whispered softly, even though he wasn't. He wasn't in pain any more, but his head was ready to explode with worry and fear. Especially worry. He wanted to know if his parents got out, and he wanted them with him. He didn´t understand why they couldn't be there. Didn't they understand he needed them more than the people at the ministry did?

Then Scor's lips crushed against his own, and Al whimpered, kissing back immediately. He wanted to drown in the feeling and never swim back to the surface. He let the kiss take over his mind until he couldn't breath any more. When they broke it off, he buried his head in Scor's neck, not caring about the blond's parents or Rain. He needed the blond. "I love you," he whispered, burying his head further. He wanted to ask Scorpius to never leave him, plead him to stay forever, but he couldn't bring himself to open his mouth.

The Aftermath Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Aftermath    The Aftermath EmptyFri Jun 01, 2012 7:08 am

Ginny remembered where the Malfoy Manor was, after dropping Albus off there a few times when he was in first and second year. Especially first. She was very insistant on making sure he got there and back without any bodily harm coming to him. She had never been inside before however, only ever outside. So it was to the outside of the Manor she apparated, by habit almost, rushing into the building as quickly as she could, a House Elf greeting her as soon as she stepped foot into the Manor, guiding her to where Albus and Scorpius were.

Bursting into the room, Ginny saw Albus instantly, buried into Scorpius' neck. She didn't even think of the close affection, she knew that they always had a slightly strange relationship, and that was the last thing on her mind right now. She practically threw herself at her son, pleased as Scorpius pulled back and gave them space, crumbling down to her knees as she pulled him into a tight hug.

"Good Godric," she sobbed trying not to cry. She could feel the tears prickling at her eyes again though, just enjoying the fact that she had Albus in her arms. "You're okay," she said, running a hand over his hair. "Oh, thank Merlin you're okay," she pulled back to observe him, running her hands over his face. "Did they hurt you?" she turned to look at where Astoria was sitting, with the girl. "Thank you," she choked, finding the situation where she was kneeling on the floor of the Malfoy's house thanking the Lady of the house a very, very bizarre one. "For taking in my son. Thank you."

The Aftermath Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Aftermath    The Aftermath EmptyFri Jun 01, 2012 7:30 am

Draco found all the potions he needed in the shortest amount of time possible. The children would survive without the potions, he knew that. But he did not want them to be in pain any longer than strictly necessary. They needed these potions, so he would get them for them. At that moment, Draco did not even care about the fact he would be giving one of his precious potions to an unknown girl. All he could think about were the numerous times he was tortured as a child, and the fact that no child deserved to undergo the same kind of pain.

He gathered the vials in a magic bubble and put his hand on it as he apparated back to the Manor. When he entered, he saw Ginny Potter on the ground, embracing her son. So she had arrived. He cleared his throat until he had everyone's attention, pretending not to notice how close his son and the Potter spawn were sitting. Nor how weird it was to have Ginny Potter on her knees in his living room. He placed the vials on the table, removing the magical bubble he had used to transport them in.

"The two red ones are for Scorpius and Albus, they will help with the stinging sensation you two are probably still feeling. The clear ones are for all three of you, they're just a common calming draught. And the last one, the blue ones, you will take them before you go to sleep tonight, they will help you to sleep," he finished, moving the bottles over the table so they were in front of the person they were meant for. He then sat down next to his wife and placed his hand on her knee.

"Is there anything you need, Ginny?" he asked, forcing him to use her given name for what felt the first time ever. "We have some potions at the Manor too," he added. When he waited for her answer, he turned his eyes to his son again, Draco's eyes scanning Scorpius' frame, spotting for any sign that he might be hurt more than he let on. Luckily, he did not find any cuts or bruises on his son's body, and a soft breath of relief escaped him. There was no sign of blood either, thank Merlin.

He lifted his gaze to meet his son's gaze. He could not put into words how glad he was that Scorpius had survived, and he knew that he probably wouldn't ever say this out loud either. But he was. His son and his wife, his family, they meant everything to Draco. And he would rather give his own life than to lose them. He ran his hand through his hair, boring his own grey eyes further into his son's similar ones. He offered him a smile, one slightly uncharacteristic for his face, but he didn't stop it.

"You did well," he said softly, speaking only loud enough for Scorpius and maybe Astoria to hear his words. Those weren't words that needed to be shared with others. Draco wanted to say more, but he couldn't. Maybe this wasn't the time, or maybe there would never be a time that he would able to put what he wanted to say into words, but for now, he was just happy his son was here. And safe. He was even glad the Potter spawn was safe, knowing that it would have broken his son if something had happened to the other boy.

Their friendship was one Draco didn't quite understand, and he was not sure if he even wanted to. He never quite understood why Scorpius had wanted to be friends with the Potter boy in the first place, but he allowed his son a chance. He wanted the boy to have the childhood he never had. And over the years, Scorpius and Albus had only grown closer. Yet still, the older Malfoy had done nothing to stop it. But Draco had already made his decision. Scorpius would come to him about it when the boy found it time. And Draco was okay with that. He would wait until the time had come, and live in blissfully ignorance until then.

He turned to the girl then, she appeared to be quite quiet. "Do you want to floo home, or owl your parents? I am sure they must be worried about you. Or were they at the Ministry as well?" he asked her. "What did you say your name was again?" he asked then, realizing he still hadn't found out. If it had been any other time, he might have been curious about her status, house and name. But at that moment, he only cared for her name so he could get her home. The girl deserved to be with her parents.

The Aftermath Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Aftermath    The Aftermath EmptyWed Jun 06, 2012 9:14 am

He was okay. Albus was okay. That was all that mattered. He had his parents, he was home, he was safe, and Albus was okay. Scorpius stroked the boy's hair as he heard those three sweet words, feeling something bubble to the surface, opening his mouth to say something. To return them.

But another person burst into the room, and he pulled back as Albus' mother rushed towards her son, imagining that they'd want space. He watched the woman coo over Albus, pleased that his boyfriend was finally with his mother. He looked at his own mother, a relieved smile crossing his face again. Home.

When his father arrived back in the room with the potions, Scorpius took them straight away, doing as he was instructed, trusting that they would help him. He kept the blue on in his hand, wondering if going to bed was an option he would get soon. Especially with a calming draught. He was already feeling completely worn out.

Meeting his father's gaze, he gave what hoped was a strong smile, though it softened at the words he spoke. The small things that his father said often carried more weight than they seemed. And he had a feeling this was one of those times. He nodded his thanks, not wanting to make a big deal out of it.

"This is Rain," Scorpius replied automatically. "She's in my year."

The Aftermath Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Aftermath    The Aftermath EmptySun Jun 10, 2012 2:39 am

The door opened and Al practically leaped off the chair he was seated on. It was a combined feeling of fear, had they followed them? And desire because he thought it would maybe be his mother. To his relief, it was the latter. Al let out a shuddering sob and lost himself in his mother's embrace, hand still tightly curled around Scor's, which he refused to let go off. He curled his other hand tightly around his mother's robes, so she wouldn't be able to leave him either.

Al leaned into his mother's hand and nodded. "B-but I'm okay now, nothing lasting," he told her quickly. "Did they hurt you? Are you okay?" he asked her, eyes scanning his mother's clothes and skin to look for blood. "Where's dad?" he asked after that, wondering why he hadn't come with his mum to the Malfoy Manor.

Then Mister Malfoy came back with an amount of Potions and explenations about them that made Al's head whoozy. Which was strange, because he loved potions. He just did what Scor did, reached forward and downed both potions that were set down for him. He closed his hand around the last one, wishing he could take it and go to sleep.
