Pansy was bouncing with private excitement as she moved around her office. She had been changing it almost every two hours since she'd arrived at Hogwarts, and she felt the same excitement every time that she did. Not that she'd ever let anybody see her like it. She had a reputation to keep. Gasping at the sight of the room, a slow smile spread over her face and she knew that it was perfect.
The desk was against the right wall, but facing the door so that she had a large square of space behind it for her chair. A cabinet with various runes and runic dictionaries was against the left wall, and a small setting of a two-seat couch and an armchair around a coffee table was in the far left corner. That was for discussing things with students, while the hard chair in front of her desk; that was for scaring students. Well, for discipline, more so than scaring.
The light that filtered in the window, was bright and at night the room was mostly lit by a bright light by her desk and a few dimmer ones around the room. Throwing herself onto the couch she grinned and closed her eyes. Then there was a knock at the door and she stood, straightening her robes and immediately dropped a mask of indifference over her face. Pansy Parkinson was not a nice person, nor was she mean. She was fair and impartial to all. Dropping herself elegantly into the chair behind her desk, she said just loudly enough to be heard, "Come in."
