Welcome to the Moment

She was so bored. Vera hated waiting. She hated waiting for anything and everything. She preferred just barging in there and doing what needed doing. But now she was waiting, because they had to wait for the right moment to attack. When it finally was time, she could not be more happy. A slightly evil grin lit up the woman's face as she followed her Dark Lady into the massive room. When she looked around her and noticed the fog that was surrounding them, making it unable for her to make out who was with her.

Though she had a feeling she could sense who was who. She could feel a soft hand brushing over her arm when they started to walk, knowing that it was Katia who did that. She recognized both her brother's and her best friend's way of walking so she recognized them too, even though she could not see their faces. The rest of the crowd was not as familiar to her, but they weren't important either.

They stood back when Nubillia started talking, and they did not speak or act until she started. The moment she cast a crucio, sending the old Minister to his knees, Vera drew her wand and cast a spell of her own, and lit fire to the robes around as she twirled around, flames dancing from her wand.

Cecily waited for the sign. She was a very patient woman at times, a virtue that she'd noticed came handy in situations like this. She had been given her task, and she had to follow it out perfectly. Shrouded in fog, she could barely make out Nubillia's nod to signal for her to go upstairs and start. She caught it though, and moved as stealthily as she could, arriving in the atrium alone.

Blending in with the crowd, Cecily began the process of making sure the room was open for the Dark Lady to arrive. She was pleased to note that whatever security measured the Ministry had put up, they'd already guessed would be there, so her job was made easy. Without anything to stop the Avengers, she simply waited for them to arrive, barely registering the fact that the Minister was speaking. Instead she was scouting the room for exits and entrances

As soon as The Avengers arrived, Cecily masked herself in the fog that Nubillia had created in the chaos, locking the door quickly just to delay the people inside from leaving, before she began checking the other exits that she'd spotted earlier, blocking these also for the same purpose, casting a sheild around herself and pinpointing the other Avengers, eyes darting about to make sure no one was aiming for the Dark Lady, prepared to stop them if they did.

Al felt Scor's hand curl around his arm and let himself be dragged away from his mother, their Charms Professor and Marina, who had just joined them. She seemed to be glad that they were talking again, and Albus gave her a smile. He hoped she was doing well, he had heard about her accident when he and Scor were on speaking terms again, he had been quite worried. But before he was able to ask, he felt a weight on his back, nearly tackling both him and Scor to the ground.

"Hello to you too Rain," he answered, biting his lip to stop himself from chuckling at the nickname she gave Scor. Before any of them were able to do much more than greeting, the Minister walked onto the stage. Al listened as he spoke, the speech was kind of long and only existed of information he always knew about. He covered his mouth with his hand to stifle a yawn and let out a breath of relief when the man stopped talking.

Though what happened then, made him let out a small yelp, though no sound actually came from his mouth. His hand immediately went for Scor's, curling tightly around the blond's wrist when panic started to form in the crowd. "Don't leave me," he said fearfully, turning around in search for his mother, refusing to let go of Scor. People were starting to scream now and it was making him insanely nervous.

He wanted to get out.

"Mum!" he yelled, waiting for her to call out to him. She could not be far, she had only been a few feet behind them when it started. But people were starting to panic, and that meant they were on the move.

Merlin, she had no idea why she was even here. She did not want to have any of these dreadful jobs, but her father had decided it would be highly educational for her to go, so she was forced to go. She wished it would start already, but the old man still hadn't given the opening speech. She reached into her pocket, trying to fish out the golden locket on which she could see the time.

However, that meant she wasn't watching the people around her and someone banged right into her from the side. She sneered as she nearly lost balance but was only just able to catch herself on the hem of his shirt. Her nails dug into his shoulder and she half-hoped that it hurt. At least he apologized.

She removed her hand from his shoulder and put her locket back into her pocket. She scanned the boy in front of her and recognized him as Louis Weasley. She knew him because his mother was part Veela, just like her. Which meant he was part Veela as well. Chloe didn't really liked the Weasley's, there were too many of them. But she guessed that if this boy was part Veela, he at least had half a mind about taking care of himself. He didn't look half bad.

Maybe if her Veela side hadn't already decided for her she would have considered him. Chloe felt a slight pang of hurt in her chest as she thought about Fyedka Ivanov. And how he rejected her. She swallowed and pushed him from her mind. "No harm done," she told him, straightening her robes. "Louis Weasley right? Gryffindor head boy?" she asked, curling a strand of her hair around her finger.

Though before he had the chance to answer, the Minister started talking. Chloe turned around so she could see the stage. She didn't really listen to him though, he only talked about things she already knew. "So, any of these jobs interest you?" she whispered under her breath, trying to make eye-contact with the blond beside her.

Finally Shacklebolt finished talking. Chloe was just about to turn to Louis again when a loud noise and a shout of Crucio stopped her in her tracks. She could feel a shudder of fear run down her spine. Then all around her, curses started to fly, people started to scream, and all Chloe wanted was to get out. Her nails dug into the palms of her hand as her eyes scanned the room for an exit.

Fyedka was smirking widely as he and the other Avengers finally apparated into the Ministry of Magic. Nobody could see how glad he was he could finally have some fun though, since his face was impossible to make out through the thick fog they had created to mask their identity. Fyedka had a small advantage in this case, however, and that was Chava's exeptional sense of smell. She could easily identify his collegues, if he considered it necessary. He doubted that would be the case, though. Just as long as they didn't stand in his way.

Fyedka's pace was hurried as he followed his Guardian into the Atrium. He twirled his wand between his fingers and whispered a final order to his familiar before the fun would start. "Chava. Keep an eye out, okay, just in case," he hissed as he watched Nubilia raise her wand as she strode into the massive room, filled with unsuspecting people. Victims.

"That'd look weird, as if you have some kind of strange wart. I'd rather be able to move my head, so I'll actually see more than just the ceiling..." Chava hissed playfully as her head appeared and poked him on the side of his head.

Fyedka rolled his eyes and charged along with the other Avengers after the Dark Lady opened the hunt by attacking the minister. Almost gleefully, he pointed his wand at the far end of the room and yelled "Expulso," making pieces of the far wall break off and fall down, and shattering various windows. As he watched the pieces of rock and glass rain down onto the crowd, he was only just in time to react as Chava warned him for someone coming at him from behind. He quickly turned and reflected the hex that was meant to disarm him and shot a Crucio at his attacker. A small chuckle escaped him. No matter how much he liked terrorizing people, he preferred having his fun one on one.

After being greeted by both the girl's he had decided to walk up to, Thomas relaxed slightly, seeing as they both seemed friendly enough. "It seems fun so far, except I have no idea if I actually want to go into the Ministry." he replied, smiling slightly. He felt bad that the brunette [Kiva] seemed a little un-nerved by his presence, but she seemed like she wasn't too opposed to having him talk to them. He nodded in agreement to the other's statement. "Yeah... Lot's of people, but it seems interesting at least." he replied, wishing he could actually say something, before realising he hadn't even introduced himself! "I'm Thomas by the way, Thomas Celare." He said, quickly remedying his mistake.

Before much else could happen though, there was utter chaos. He hardly had enough time to react to what was going on before Crucio's were being fired. Unforgivable curses. Who would fire Unforgivable curses?! "W-What do we do?" He asked the pair that he was with. Part of him was absolutely terrified by what was happening, but somewhere, in the back of his mind, he felt an adrenaline rush start, almost like a surge of excitement. He stayed rooted to the ground however, confused as to what the hell he should be doing.

There weren't enough words in her vocabulary to describe just how excited she was. She felt like a little kid at their birthday party getting ready to open up all their presents and eat cake at the same time. Except with more screaming. Or at least, more screaming on the way. And a different kind of screaming than excited. More screams of pain. Which were very similar, and she preferred anyway.

She was practically bouncing as Nubillia headed them off to start the show, her hand brushing over Vera's arm as they began. She felt adrenaline rush through her blood as the screams began, allowing herself to let loose as she began shooting spells left and right, engaging herself in a dance as she spun in circles, giggling away as screams surrounded her, trying to draw forth blood so she could paint the floor with it.

And then she spotted a pretty looking boy and a pretty looking girl [Louis and Chloe], exceptionally good-looking the both of them, and the girl's eyes locked with her's, and then Katia had the spell on her lips in an instant, breaking through the smile that was stretching across her face.

"Crucio!" she whispered, wand pointed straight at the girl.

A shriek of joy escaped Katia's lips the same time that the girl started screaming, shriek turning into mad laughter as she bounced from foot to foot, bending down mockingly as the girl fell to the floor.

Oh, people were so much fun.

As soon as Chloe locked eyes with someone she could not see [Katia] she knew she was in trouble. She did not know how she knew the woman's eyes were there, but she could feel them. And she knew they were watching each other.

The pain wasn't like any pain she had ever felt before. It started in her head and in no time, it had spread through her entire body. All her muscles and nerve endings were feeling like they were on fire. She was unable to scream and dropped to her knees, the ground hard beneath her thin robes. The pain continued even as she tore away her eyes from the other woman.

Then she screamed. As loud as she could, high and piercing and even more painful to her own ears. She couldn't stop herself. "Please, stop, stop, please, make it stop," she begged, panting for breath as she tried to remember how one was supposed to breathe. Her longs started to fail on her as she drew her body closer to the ground, unable to keep herself up. She screamed again. "Make it s-stop, p-please," she continued pleading, the side of her head now on the ground as she tried to scramble away from the unknown woman.

Scorpius would've been disappointed about being stopped from getting away from Albus' mum if it wasn't for the fact that it was Marina who was talking to them, and he was too busy panicking about whether or not she was able to be at such a big event so soon.

"Are you okay being here?" he asked almost instantly.

He didn't have much of a chance to ask anything else though because all of a sudden there was Rain, narrowly avoiding being tackled by her. He glared furiously as she called him 'Widdle baby Scorpius Malfoul'. Oh goodness he hated her so much sometimes. "Rain Cloud. So nice of you to join us," he said dryly. Though did people have to keep bringing up the fact that they were on speaking terms again?

Then Ginny left, and Scorpius couldn't have been happier. Well, not being there, and not having Rain, and just Al, that would've made him happier. But that was a small detail.

The Minister got up on stage and started talking, Scorpius stuffing his hands in his pockets and pretending to listen. It was rather difficult. But then all of a sudden there was chaos, and Albus had grabbed his wrist, and asked him not to leave. Scorpius took Albus' hand in his own, grasping out for Rain's in the other, not wanting the girl to get seperated from them.

He spun round, looking for Marina or Ginny. "We need to hide," he hissed. "Or just get out of here."

Fyedka was still having the most fun he had had since he had left Russia as he ploughed through the crowd, throwing hexes and warding off defending spells fired by the few people in the crowd who were not too shaken to hold a wand. Everything was going swiftly, until he heard, through all the noise of destruction and panic, a way too familiar scream. A scream that wasn't that enjoyable for him to hear, as others usually were. Until then he had probably never realized how awful it was to hear that particular voice scream in pain like this.

Fyedka froze for a second, then he turned around, in the direction of the scream that seemed to bother him so much. He felt Chava stir, wanting to know what he was doing, but he suspected she already knew what was going on. She always saw right through him.

It didn't take long for him to find the one whose scream he had above all the others, and the one who was the reason for them, too. The fog was hiding the Avenger's appearance, but it didn't hide the wand that was pointed at the blonde girl who was currently sobbing on the floor and begging to make the pain go away. Fyedka swallowed as some strange force he didn't recognize gave him the almost undeniable urge to move towards her and bring her to safety.

"Fyedka." Chava's voice rang though his dazed mind. "Don't do anything rash, if you don't want to make this worse. You know how Katia can be when she's disturbed while playing." Fyedka nodded and clenched his jaw, of course Chloe would have so much bad luck to run into Katia of all people. Forcing himself to move in a steady pace, he approached his fellow Avenger and her prey.

"Katia. That's enough. Not that one, get along and do vhat ve're supposed to do," he said in a controlled voice, though a little irritation was clearly seeping through. When had he turned from attacker into defender?

Kiva's face lit up as Beatrice suggested owling each other, nodding happily. "That sounds like a really good idea. It'd be really nice to be able to talk to you when we're not at school, and we could meet up sometimes, if you wanted to. We should exchange addresses before the night's through."

She was very pleased when Bea also started speaking to the boy, hoping that it would draw attention off her and her terrible speaking skills. Kiva gave a shy smile at Bea's question, waiting for the boy to answer before answering herself. "There is a lot of people, but hopefully it'll be fun. And informative," she sounded like a right dork. "I-I'm Kiva," she greeted as Thomas gave them his name, tugging on her hair nervously, though the smile on her face was genuine. "Kiva Rain. It's-it's nice to meet you, Thomas."

She glanced up as the Minister got on stage, beginning to get excited about the event. Thomas seemed sweet, and she didn't mind his company too much. Boys made her nervous a lot, but everything always made her nervous. And she had Beatrice by her side. Just as her thoughts began to take on a positive turn, a new group arrived, followed by curses and screaming.

It made her dizzy how quickly things suddenly changed.

"I-I don't know!" she yelped as Thomas asked the question, grasping out for Bea's arm. "Should-should we try hide?" she asked, eyes beginning to search for her father. But she couldn't spot him. Anywhere. "My-my dad...where is he? I need to find my dad!"

Katia had to say, she didn't think there was anything as beautiful as a pretty girl begging for mercy. That first scream though, that deafening scream, that was mesmerizing. It was like the perfect note in a song. The one that had shivers running up and down your spine. That was exactly what that scream was like.

But all of a sudden her concentration was broken, Fyedka by her side, raising a brow at his disruption of her fun. Now that was strange. Since when did Fyedka care who she did and did not pick to play with? He knew better than to take away her toys, really. He seemed controlled, like it wasn't strange for him to ask. But he was very good at hiding what he was thinking.

"Not this one?" she asked, looking back at the girl before snapping her wand at the blond boy [Louis], using the same Unforgivable on him. "What about this one?!" she asked over the screams, before a slightly twisted smile made its way to her face, releasing her hold on the blond. "Or I could alternate," she suggested, before demonstrating, flicking from one to the other, casting various spells this time, from mild hexes to strong curses, just to mix things up a little, before finishing with the cruciatus curse on the boy.

"Tell me, Fyedka," she turned on him, ignoring the two she had been torturing. "What is it exactly that we're supposed to do? I was under the impression this was it," she stepped closer towards him. "Or do you know this one?" she whispered. "Is she one of your little friends at school?"

People were panicking and it was all Ai could do to keep a steady firm face. After telling the other girl to get out of here, she looked around and heard a girl screaming. It was a student from the sound of it. Ai saw the girl, who was standing by the head boy. She frowned. Louis was a good guy, she was sure he'd do something. She wondered if she should blend into the wallpaper, right now. This wasn't her fight. Not yet. She sighed as she spotted Albus and Scorpius and Rain. She made her way over to them.

"Are you guys okay?" She asked. They were alright in her book. She had talked with Albus on a couple occasions. "It's getting to be a mad house in here"

"Beatrice Abbot." she introduced herself to Thomas and smiled encouragingly to Kiva. She remembered that the other girl didn't feel comfortable around boys, but Thomas seemed pleasant enough, so she hoped it wouldn't be a problem.

Before she could say anything else, the Minister started his speech and even though she found it boring as hell, it seemed rude to talk during it. So, she kept quiet, trying to focus on the dull words of Shacklebolt.
When it was over, she turned back to Kiva and Thomas, searching for something else to say. But it was then when the first curse was cast and everything started to turn into chaos.

"We should get out of here!" she yelled as a response to Thomas's question. She gripped Kiva's hand tight, not wanting to lose her friend in the crowd.

"Kiva, no. He's an adult, he'll be able to take care of himself." she was scared for her own Dad as well, but she knew they couldn't go searching for them. The ones casting curses seemed to be everywhere around them.
"We just...we have to get out of here."
Bea also took Thomas's hand and turned around to look for exit. Everything seemed to be blocked by the intruders. She started to panic, not knowing what to do, but she also knew she was the oldest of the three, so by all logic, she was supposed to get them out.
She motioned to the nearest exit and went in that direction, hoping they would make, while still clutching Thomas and Kiva.

"Nothing," Louis responded to Chloe in an undertone, grinning as Mr Shacklebolt spoke in response to her question on careers. "I hate desks. I wanna do something fun. Like... save the world. Or taste food for people."

It was then that there seemed to be an almighty turn in events, and a fog was swirling through the atrium, and then Chloe was on the ground, screaming. What the hell was he supposed to do? He whipped out his wand and span on his heel but it seemed his actions weren't quite quick enough and he was on the floor, arching his back against the searing pain he experienced and trying to yell, no sound escaping. Or perhaps he was yelling so hard he couldn't hear it, his throat felt raw.

And then it lifted, and he was left there, chest heaving, exhausted, too exhausted to do or think of anything as he forced air back into his lungs, trying to even his breathing out. The relief wasn't for long though as he was pelted with hexes and curses that slashed his skin and snapped his bones and left him in agony, followed by the same awful all-consuming pain he had experienced earlier. Only when nothing had happened did he dare to move, in fear of disintegrating.

Now is not the best time to fall apart, Louis Weasley, he told himself quickly. With what felt like enormous effort, he pushed himself into an almost sitting position, looking over at Chloe. "Chl-Chloe, y-you okay?" he asked in a shaky voice, trying very hard not to pass out. He needed to get out of here, and so did she.

As soon as it stopped Chloe started panting, she tried to gulp in so much air that she was nearly wheezing. She hadn't even noticed that she started crying, but her cheeks were wet and her eyes were watery. Her throat was on fire and all she wanted was to curl up on the floor and never move again. But she couldn't, because she was in danger. And maybe she had stopped crying, but Louis was enduring the same pain as she was right now.

Chloe tried to get her wand free but then pain started again. First in forms of light stinging curses, but quickly followed by ones that made it feel like people were stepping on her bones. They kept coming in strange intervals and she was screaming again, unable to even stay silent anymore. She closed her eyes tightly and continued trying to get back on her feet.

The two fogged figures that were looming over them were talking now, and Chloe moved over the ground, closer to Louis. "As okay as I can be. Everything h-hurts. I think she b-broke something," she muttered, pressing her hand to the side of her head, feeling warm fluid stick to her fingers. "And t-there's blood. Are y-you b-bleeding?" she continued. "I d-don't know what to d-do."

Sasha loped through the crowd, sometimes pushing pairs apart for the hell of it, enjoying the buzz emanating from it. He loved a party, did Sasha, and this was a good one in his mind. He got to one particular quartet [Ai, Rain, Scorpius, Al] and smiled, twirling his wand. "Hiiiiiiii guys, enjoying yourselves?" he asked, inclining his head as his lips continued to quirk further upwards. "I am. You know, I don't know about you, but I think this career is far more interesting than, ooooh, I don't know, say... admin work."

He reached out to put his arm around the dark haired boy, training his wand on the blond boy, and smiled. "Still. You have to be able to tolerate a fair bit of pain. I know, how about we give you a taster session? My friends are very rude, already starting. But you know, we can start at any time at all. Like this, for example." He switched his wand from the blond haired boy to aim at the dark haired one and cast crucio non-verbally, humming a little as he did so.

"Um," Louis said, trying to think straight, head beginning to pound, "Um, I don't... I... maybe," he said hopelessly, feeling so despairing and in pain that he wanted to cry, that he wanted his mother for possibly the first time in years. He felt confused, each moment growing slightly more fuzzy. He let himself slide back into a lying position and blinked.

He knew from every book he had read, every film he had watched that he shouldn't fall asleep, but it felt so welcoming and so difficult to fight. No. He had to get out of there. In a minute. He felt sick. He couldn't move, wouldn't, when it was proving so difficult for him to fight it off anyway. Those authors should shut up. What did they know?

All he knew was that the worst of it had stopped as the darkness began to sweep him under.

Oh Merlin why was his mother not replying? Al swallowed thickly and moved even closer to Scor and Rain, not wanting to lose them. If he lost them, he'd be alone. His fingers tightened their hold on Scor's hand, squeezing tightly. "But where can we hide? They're everywhere," he muttered, leaning close so they could hear over the screams. "Do you think they're guarding the exits?" he asked.

Then Ai joined them and Al doubted he had never been so glad to see her before. "We're okay, I think, we really need to get out," he stammered nervously. Though he probably shouldn't have said they were okay, because only moments after he felt an arm sling around his shoulder. He and Scor had their hands still linked behind the stranger [Sasha] back, and Al was not about to let go.

The stranger started talking and Al felt positively terrified, and he felt anger boil in his chest because his wand was pointed at Scor. But it wasn't Scor that got cursed, it was him. He didn't even hear their attacker say something, but he suddenly felt as if a thousand white-hot knives were being stabbed into his body, over and over again. Tears formed in his eyes immediately, but Al refused to scream. He nearly bit off his tongue, but he did not want to scream.

Screaming would give the stranger the satisfaction he wanted. And it would only cause other's more fear. Instead sobs shook Al's whole frame and his hand slipped from Scor's as he dropped to his knees and tried to hold his shivering body up with his hands.

"Oh, boo you," Sasha said, getting a grip on the dark haired boy [Albus] and hoisting him back to his feet. "But, that was almost good enough to join us. I'm proud of you, little one." He smiled around at the other three present. "What about you three? Shall we play a game? Test your reactions." He shot another of the same unforgivable curse quickly in the direction of the blond boy [Scorpius] without much warning, eyes gleaming to see whether it hit or if the boy had unspeakable talent. I rather doubt it. He's blonder than me.

"And you two girlies? What about you two? Thinking of joining us?" Sasha asked delicately, turning to look at the two girls present, switching his wand between their two faces. "We're very nice to girls. Our own leader is one."

Fyedka narrowed his eyes at Katia's answer. Of course she wouldn't just agree and get on with it. This was Katia, and him, after all. She had never even treated him as an adult, let alone agreed with him without questioning. And now he had to come up with a valid answer. And sadly, he could only think of two answers that could possibly have any effect. One he would most certainly not use, especially not in front of Katia. And the other answer, he could also possibly regret giving in the future. But at least that one was more fitting. And less complicated.

"Vhat ve're supposed to do, Katia," he sneered, more irritation seeping through his voice. "Is create chaos and disturb the piece, thus alloving our Dark Lady to make her statement." So far, so good. From the corner of his eye, he noticed Chloe slowly moving towards the blond boy [Louis] she had been standing with earlier. Or so he thought, they at least seemed to know eachother. But her helping out others wouldn't do much good to the point he was about to make, so he flicked his wand at the boy and he was thrown a few feet away. "Don't even think about it, don't move, don't speak, stay low," he hissed quietly towards her.

"Vhat we're not supposed to do is torture our future allies to the brink of insanity. They usually are more usevul vhen they can still think straight. And I would hate for you to destroy vone of the reasons vhy I vent to that idiotic school in the first place. Vouldn't you?" Without waiting for an answer, Fyedka turned around and hoisted one of Chloe's arms over his shoulder to keep her up.

"You can do vith the boy vhatever you like, I don't know him. As far as I know he's not on our side. Enjoy yourself," he called to Katia over his unoccupied shoulder. "I am taking her out of here. Tell Nubilia that something came up, I vill justify my actions to her vhen I get back." And having said that, for the first time since Fyedka had left Russia, he ignored the orders he had been given and apparated away with the barely concious girl in his arms, still not knowing why the hell that had just happened.

Scorpius tensed as soon as a strange man who was masked in the fog joined them, grip on Al's hand tightening, still not letting go of Rain. When the man pointed a wand at him, he did his best to keep a straight face, staring unblinkingly at the man, trying to keep the wand on him. Because the man had an arm around Albus, and he didn't want to think of what he would do if Albus got hurt. Ai was there, Head Girl, and Scorpius couldn't help but pray that the girl would take care of Rain, because he was more concerned with Albus at the moment.

But then the wand wasn't on him anymore. And the grip on one of his hands began to slip away.

It took him a moment to realise what was going on, but as soon as he recovered Scorpius had let go of Rain's hand and was reaching for his wand, though he couldn't say how glad he was that Albus wasn't screaming. He wasn't sure he'd be able to take that. The man finished with Al and had shot a curse at him, and he tried to move out the way but was too slow, hit by the curse as he dropped to his knees, hand still wrapped round his wand stubbornly as he let out a cry of pain, looking up to try and spot Albus through the pain, not wanting to let the other boy out his sight.

When the pain finally stopped, there was a ringing in his ears, but he managed to catch the man talk to Rain and Ai, forcing himself to pull out his wand and search his brain for a spell. He pointed his wand towards the man, mumbling a spell under his breath, watching as a flock of birds shot forward from his wand, intent on attacking the man. Compared to everything that was going on, it felt like nothing, but he just wanted the man's attention.

"Bored now," sighed Sasha, giving them a wave goodbye and turning around, stretching his arms out in a yawn, when a flock of birds streamed from the end of the blond boy's wand and headed straight for him.

"Protego!" he cast quickly, forcing a shield up to protect him from extreme pecking. He grinned at the blond boy. "You want some more, dear? Oh, I can give you some more if you wish. I can give you lots more." He smiled and lowered the shield, raising his wand. "What to start with..."

Al was pulled back onto his feet and he wobbled slightly, wanting to fall back down to the ground. But he forced himself not to, because then the man was torturing Scor, and the blond cried out, and Al just forgot about the fact that Rain and Ai were there because all he was concerned about now was Scor. If he'd had more strength, he would have thrown himself at the man, but currently he was using all his strength to keep himself upright.

And remember how to breath.

Then the man turned to Ai and Rain and the curse he had on Scor lifted. Al moved immediately, dropping onto his knees next to the blond, making sure that he was okay. He seemed to be, because he fired a spell at their attacker. Which wasn't very smart, because the man did not seem to like this one bit. His voice made a shiver ran down Al's spine but it also made him extremely angry.

"No!" he cried out, taking out his own wand and pointing it at the man. "Incarcerous!" he continued, watching ropes fly from the end of his wand.

Vera soon got bored of setting people on fire, she wanted more. She moved past the burning people and scanned the crowd for her new victims. Her eyes settled on a group of three people [Marina, Ginny and Zacharias]. Two of them looked old and the other had a scar on the side of her face. They looked interesting enough, so Vera apparated and then appeared right in front of them. An evil grin was painted on her face even though they couldn't see.

"Well hello, having fun there?" she asked them, twirling her wand in her left hand. "I think your fun is only just about to start," she continued, firing one of her favourite hexes at the red-headed woman [Ginny]. She watched with glee as her fiery hair turned into a bunch of hideous snakes which moved wildly around her head. She moved fast, giving them no time to stop her even if they tried.

She turned to the girl with the scar [Marina] next, tilting her head to the side as she tried to decide what to do. "I wonder how much you're worth without that," she muttered, eyeing the cane before vanishing it with a simple spell.

At last she turned to the man [Zacharias]. "Well, what have we here. A Professor no less," she asked him, taking a step closer. He was taller than her, but she know just the thing to bring him to his knees. Before he had time to speak she had already cast her spell. "Crucio," she hissed.
