Welcome to the Moment - Page 3 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Welcome to the Moment    Welcome to the Moment - Page 3 EmptyMon May 28, 2012 10:07 pm

Katia practically pouted at Fyedka's response, a scowl on her face, a small voice in the back of her mind telling her that he had a point. But she didn't care about any of that, she just wanted to have fun. She remained silent as he spoke however, scoffing as he said that people were more useful when they weren't on the brink of insanity. Fyedka had told her more than once that she was insane, and she was perfectly capable of being useful to the Dark Lady. In fact, she thought she was more useful as she was, rather than boring and ordinary.

She watched as Fyedka left however, his words confirming in her mind that he knew the girl, that he thought she would be on their side. A smirk crossed her face as he apperated away, thought fleeting across her mind. It certainly would be interesting if the stubborn little child got so attached to someone that he needed to disobey orders to get them to safety. He never disobeyed orders.

Katia sauntered over to the blond boy on the floor, who looked like he was falling asleep. She crouched in front of him, lifting his face up to look at her, grasping his chin with her hand, her wand pointed at his neck in an attempt to get his adrenaline kicking in and waking him up. "My silly partner has taken away your little pretty friend," she said, sighing dramatically. "I never thought he'd get enchanted by a pretty girl. Alas, I suppose he has a point, I should let you get off lightly. This is only the first time we're meeting, after all."

She leant in further, whispering into the boy's ear, a grin on her face. "It would be a tragedy if your pretty face was no longer in the world. I'm sure your girlfriend would be angry with me. I might just leave a little mark, just to remind you that I'm not done with you yet," she pulled back and bit down on her tongue as she pushed him onto his back, ripping his clothes to expose more of his chest, before trailing her wand along his skin, enchanted to cut into his skin, carving her initials into the flesh. The K.P stood bold and red, staring back up at her, a wide smile on her face as she looked.

"Now, let's just hope you actually get out of here alive, shall we?" she teased before flouncing off to find something else to do, eyes glinting as she spotted a trio trying to escape. [Bea, Thomas, and Kiva]. She snuck up behind them, a smile on her face as she spoke.

"I don't think your plan to escape is working out very well."

Welcome to the Moment - Page 3 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Welcome to the Moment    Welcome to the Moment - Page 3 EmptyMon May 28, 2012 10:20 pm

This wasn't good. This was really horrible. The screams were making her panic, her breath started to quicken and her eyes were wide with fear. She had to get out of there, and she had to take as many people with her as possible. But to do that she needed to find an exit. Emily tightened her hold on her wand and made her way through the screaming mass of people, to the wall. There were windows, but they wouldn't open. She spotted a door too, and quickly made her way towards it.

But when she got closer, she noticed someone [Cecily] was already there. Emily stepped back into the crowd, but kept her eyes trained on the fogged person and pointed her wand. She wasn't sure if she had been noted or not.

"Confundo," she whispered, sending the spell at the woman at the door. Charms was her best subject and her area of expertise. She was much better at using a strong charm than a weak attack spell. That was why she chose for this charm, and not something more offensive. She wasn't a fighter, she preferred the clever approach.

Welcome to the Moment - Page 3 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Welcome to the Moment    Welcome to the Moment - Page 3 EmptyTue May 29, 2012 1:57 am

The world came back with a painful jolt as Louis was hurled across the room, landing in a way that each of the injuries seemed to reiterate and pang, leaving him in agony. He felt sick with pain.

And then he felt a wand in his neck and a grip on his chin and a sudden burst of fear and terrified energy as he tried to scramble away from the woman above him, but it was a little in vain as she pushed him firmly onto his back. Louis flinched as she whispered in his ear, heart going as he tried to look away from her face swimming above him. Oh Merlin. He couldn't be crying. He couldn't be crying. He wasn't crying, was he?

She ripped his shirt then, and he tried to kick away from her to no avail. "Please stop, get off me, please," he groaned, giving up on the useless fighting as he sobbed, her wand carving something into his chest. "Please." He didn't think he had ever felt this scared. Why was no-one helping? There was a cacophany of noise but he couldn't distinguish any of the voices other than hers.

She left with one last taunt, and he felt impossibly even more panicked as she vanished, incapable of doing anything other than lying there, chest heaving and bleeding.

Welcome to the Moment - Page 3 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Welcome to the Moment    Welcome to the Moment - Page 3 EmptyTue May 29, 2012 2:08 am

Cecily had been safe, so far. No one seemed to notice her, blending in so much with the fog. And the other Avengers all seemed a lot more flamboyant than her, their leader too busy destroying the Minister, the quartet from Russia dancing around and enjoying themselves as they tortured adults and students alike. Cecily simply kept by the doors, occasionally knocking out anyone who would get too close to her leader, or any of the other Avengers who were so wrapped up in their fun. While she wasn't casting spells at anyone, she kept herself shielded, not wanting to be caught off-guard.

But then a charm hit her shield and it faltered, spinning around to try and find the person who did it. There were so many people it was hard to tell who was who. But as soon as she caught familiar firey hair, her heart stopped.

She prepared for this. She knew the other woman would be here. Yet actually being there, seeing Emily in the crowd, was entirely different to imagining it and mentally preparing herself. She shot the same full body-bind jinx in the woman's direction, though she wasn't sure she wanted to leave her friend immobile for any of the others.

As soon as the word 'friend' crossed her mind, she felt her aim weaken slightly, watching to see if it would hit it's target. She had to do this. For her family.

Sasha raised his eyebrows a little as the dark haired boy shot ropes towards him, leaping backwards, though not quickly enough it seemed as they latched onto his limbs. "Not very friendly," he said with a sigh, wrestling against the ropes as he tried to get a better grip on his wand. "Diffindo," he snapped, severing one of the ropes and looking sourly at the kid in front of him. "Not very clever, either," he said, frowning.

He looked around at the scene, eyes snapping to every object he could to see if he could think of to use in defence. He looked back at the boy, yanking roughly at the other rope in an attempt to pull him towards him. He trained his wand back on the blond one. "Luckily for you, it's against my morals to hurt blonds. And, alas, I'm not here to kill any of you. But maybe next time?" He pointed it back at the dark haired boy and glared. "You should learn not to be so rash. Want me to teach you?"

Welcome to the Moment - Page 3 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Welcome to the Moment    Welcome to the Moment - Page 3 EmptyTue May 29, 2012 2:36 am

Where was her son. Why had she let him go off? She should've stayed with him until the Minister finished speaking. She shouldn't have just let him wander off on his own without an supervision. And with the Malfoy's son, and the other girl they were with. The Krum's daughter, Marina, was with her now, and she was determined not to let her out of her sight. She imagined Marina would want to find her cousin, so hopefully she could get the boys and Marina and leave.

She was so close to Zach that she grabbed his arm first, a stern look on her face as she spoke. "Are you alright?" she asked, though he didn't look hurt. During the initial shock she hadn't been paying attention to him however. There was so much noise and chaos in the air that she had to shout for him to hear her, and she was keeping an ear out for Albus, or any of her other relatives.

But when one of the misty figures appeared in front of them, Ginny tensed and got out her wand just as a hex was sent towards her. She stumbled slightly as she felt her hair begin to morph, eyes widening as she heard a hissing sound, trying not to scream as she caught glance of a snake out the corner of her eye. There were snakes. On her head.

Before she really had a chance to think of what to do Vera had already removed Marina's cane, and had turned on Zach. Ginny's eyes widened as the woman began to cast a spell, jumping between Vera and Zach, wand out and ready, but knowing it was really too late. She felt the overwhelming pain hit her, doubling over in pain and letting out a surpressed wail, somehow managing to stand up on shaky legs, still standing between the woman and the man.

"Albus," she whispered, mentally begging for Zach or Marina to go get her son. She just wanted her son to be safe.

Welcome to the Moment - Page 3 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Welcome to the Moment    Welcome to the Moment - Page 3 EmptyTue May 29, 2012 2:54 am

Merlin that woman was annoying. Why had she jumped in front of her curse, that was no fun. It was not meant for her, it was meant for the Professor. She was supposed to be busy with the snakes on her head. Vera scowled. She hated it when things did not go her way. Just for that, she intensified the curse, the hate she currently felt for the blond woman helping. She lifted it then, dancing out of the way for a curse that came at them from behind and casting a shield charm to protect herself.

"Now it's your turn," she hissed loudly.

She pointed her wand at the tall man once more, this time not going to get side-tracked by annoying redheads. She settled on a curse she'd learned in her last year of school, and grinned as the bright red fog started to form at the tip of her wand. She made sure it got only near the man, circling his arms, legs and chest. She spared his face, she wanted to make sure she could see him scream.

More and more fog started to form, and Vera knew that in mere seconds it would do as it was supposed to. And then it did. The man's clothing started to burn away, Vera eagerly awaited the moment where the fog would touch his skin. Because when flesh-eating fog touched ones skin, she doubted, or well, she was quite sure, it did not feel pleasant.

Welcome to the Moment - Page 3 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Welcome to the Moment    Welcome to the Moment - Page 3 EmptyTue May 29, 2012 3:28 am

As soon as he'd actually gotten a response off them both, it felt like he could actually move again. "Hiding makes sense, but where can we hide?" He asked. He should've been to the Ministry with his father before now, he might at least have a clue. "Can we even get out of the Atrium?" He added. He could just hear curses right now, he could hardly hear himself think over the screams. "She's right, your dad should be able to handle himself." He added, trying to help with calming Kiva down. There was so much chaos, they'd be lucky if they could find a giant in this mess, let alone actually be able to get through everything safely and get there.

He was thankful that Beatrice had gotten them moving, if it wasn't for that, he probably would have ended up glued there, and being an easy target was not good right about now. He almost felt a sense of relief as they neared the exit, only for it to come tumbling back down like a house of cards as they found it was sealed. "What now? What do we do now?" he asked. There had to be a way they could get themselves to safety, or at least make something from this mess. Just as he started to calm himself down again, a voice came from behind them. "No. No it is not working very well." he replied, almost laughing at the predicament they were in, before realising that the voice wasn't someone he'd heard before. "What do you want?" He said, voice rising an octave as he turned around. Worse yet, he couldn't even tell who the figure was, they were masked by smoke. That meant they had to be bad, right? Once again he felt that adrenaline kick, and he hoped things wouldn't turn out too badly. He was at least distracting one of these people, so that was something, wasn't it?

"That's enoough" Ai said, stepping in front of the younger students. She glared at the man and then smirked, her wand drawn and pointed at him.

"It's obvious that you have no idea who these boys are?" She glared defiantly at the man. "Their parents will rip you to shreds if they catch you" She cocked her head and smirked. "Let them go, and we can have some fun of our own. They are of little concern to you, I'm sure. Take me, and I'll show you what I've got" She was stalling, really hoping this man took the bait. "Want to test me?" She glanced at Albus. "Go" She mouthed, hoping he could get Scorpius and Rain out of the way.

Welcome to the Moment - Page 3 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Welcome to the Moment    Welcome to the Moment - Page 3 EmptyTue May 29, 2012 4:46 am

Dominique didn't like events. She didn't like them at all. She didn't like attending them and she didn't like trying to be social. It was pretty boring and Dom didn't like boring things. Nevertheless, she had forced herself to be a good Ministry worker and attend, maybe she'd catch a glimpse of some old friends or family members and the day wouldn't turn out to be a complete bore.

But when she wished for an active evening and a not boring one, she hadn't been counting on what she'd get. Everything happened fast. One moment she had been yawning and ignoring the Minister's speech and then the next moment people were screaming and curses were flying around that atrium.

Dominique knew she needed to think fast, but somehow while everything happened fast her own movements seemed to happen slow. Very slow. Think Dom, think, grab your wand, stay low - duck. She needed to find an exit, a way to get out, but the exits were all sealed.

Right you're part of the bloody Ministry you have to help people - People… She froze. People. Her people. Louis. There was a Louis in this room. There was a Louis bloody Weasley somewhere in here.

She needed to find her brother. She needed to get him out of there fast. She didn't even care if it was selfish and that she should probably be working on getting other people out as well, she needed to get to Louis first. And fast. Her eyes darted around the room. It was so crowded, so loud, so much happening and she had no idea where to look - where to go. She just knew she needed to keep her head low and her wand in her hand. The red head didn't like cursing people, unless it was to tease her brother or cousins, but when it came to real powerful curses that could actually blast things apart, she preferred not to use them if she could. But this was Louis, this was her brother, no one was keeping her away from him.

After a while of searching - she wasn't sure how long had passed... minutes? Seconds? - she caught a glimpse of a familiar body. Her own body tensed up at the sight of it. Was that him? Why was he lying like that? Please don't-

When she finally reached him, Dominique fell on her knees next to her brother, her heart hammering in her chest like never before. "Louis? Louis?" He was breathing, but there was blood, why was there so much blood? Oh shit. "Louis, it's Dom, please talk to me, I'm going to take you home-"

Welcome to the Moment - Page 3 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Welcome to the Moment    Welcome to the Moment - Page 3 EmptyTue May 29, 2012 5:19 am

"I don't know, but we can't stay here." Bea said while looking around madly. Panic was starting to grow inside her and she realized they're going to be tortured or killed if they don't get out of here soon.
"There should be a way. I hope." she added quietly.

They stopped in their tracks as they saw the exit was sealed. Bea bit her lower lip, thinking of a way to get out of there. She's never been in a situation like that before and she hoped very, very much she won't ever be again.
She heard someone say their escape plan wasn't working and she wasn't going to comment on that, seeing as Thomas already has. She turned around, only to find a masked figure before them. Her fear grew and she blinked back tears of panic.
All she wanted from life in that moment was for this to never had happened. But since it did and there seemed to be no escape, she opted to look for a solution. And solution in their case was to find help from someone who actually knew what they were doing.

Ignoring the figure before them, she tried to look around and see if there was anyone near them that could help. She saw a woman [Emily] cast a spell on a masked figure and Bea figured that's the help they needed.
Praying to every God she's ever heard of, she let go of Thomas' and Kiva's hands after giving them both a reassuring squeeze, she took a step back and broke into run. She ran behind Thomas and Kiva, so she wouldn't run into the masked figure and made her way through the crowd as quickly as she could.

When she finally reached the woman, she was breathing heavily with panic and fear clearly visible on her face. "Please, can you help us! There's the...the masked woman or something and she's, she's about to torture my friends, please!" she cried out and tried very hard not to cry, although her voice was breaking. She didn't know what else to do if the woman wouldn't want to help them. She couldn't even think of what was happening to her only friend and that little boy right at that moment.

Welcome to the Moment - Page 3 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Welcome to the Moment    Welcome to the Moment - Page 3 EmptyTue May 29, 2012 5:50 am

Scorpius forced himself to his feet, trying to gain control of his senses, vaguely aware of the fact that Albus had gotten up and was fighting back. He turned his attention to the man, seeing him drag Albus towards him via some ropes which he assumed Albus had conjured, trying to restart his brain think of what to turn them into. He made a brief note to start putting equal amounts of time into Transfiguration and DADA, rather than just pouring all his energy into Transfiguration and Charms.

The man's morals may have stopped him hurting blonds, but Scorpius' didn't stop him from hurting the man who was trying to torture his boyfriend. He summoned the spell he needed, gathering his strength and vanishing the ropes, feeling his energy slowly draining out of him. When Ai stepped in between them and the man, he moved forward as quickly as he could, rushing to Al and helping him to his feet. Glancing up at Ai and the man, ready to help, he saw her mouth to Albus for them to leave. Scorpius was torn. He wasn't sure he wanted to leave Ai to face this man alone.

But it was the smartest thing to do. She was Head Girl, older than them, looking a lot more confident than he felt, and probably more able and ready to deal with something like this. Two wounded fifth years weren't going to help her. And right now, he was more concerned about getting Albus out of the line of fire than helping someone he barely knew.

He began to move, using Albus for support just as much as he was supporting the boy, forcing Rain to come with them, trying to find somewhere to hide. They had to hide. He spotted a table that had been set up for the ministry event, crawling underneath it with Albus and Rain, transfiguring it into a shelter for them, attempting to make it match the surroundings. He wasn't sure he had enough strength left to do it properly.

"Are-!" he grimaced, trying to get himself comfortable. "Are you guys okay?"

Al cried out in surprise as the yank on the ropes made him fall forward and he was dragged over floor and closer to the man. That wasn't supposed to happen. But he couldn't let go of his wand either. But before the man could do anything else, Ai stepped between them and Scor managed to vanish the robes. Al quickly crawled backwards as fast as he could. He let Scor help him to his feet, hands curling tightly around the blond's robes. He was not going to let them be parted again.

He had no idea what was happening, but he just let it happen. As long as he and Scor would get to safety, it would be okay. He couldn't bring himself to care for the other, he just couldn't. He just wanted to be safe. He crawled under the table just like Scor did and watched as Rain followed them. He collapsed against the blond as soon as they were inside, his head was throbbing.

"I'm okay," Al breathed out, unable to move. He just wanted to sleep. "My mum, do you think she's okay?" he whispered, looking from Scor to Rain. "And Marina, and Professor Smith and my family, I don't even know how many family members are here," he continued, tears starting to form in his eyes again. "They have to be safe," he added quietly.

Welcome to the Moment - Page 3 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Welcome to the Moment    Welcome to the Moment - Page 3 EmptyTue May 29, 2012 6:04 am

Everything had become one big blurry mess. She allowed Beatrice to drag her around, trying to keep up, stumbling a few times. She tried to take Bea and Thomas' advice to not look for her dad, but she was worried. She could feel tears prickling at the corners of her eyes, her heart pumping furiously, hands shaking in fear. There were screams, and torture, and fire, and people attacking, and masked people she couldn't see, and it was all too much.

It wasn't until she heard the voice comment on her plan, turning round to see who it was, that she genuinely began to sob, hand flying to her mouth to stiffle any noise. Her legs had gone wobbly, and she had no idea what she was supposed to do. She was a good student, got high grades, was hardworking and knew a lot, but none of that knowledge was coming to her. She was in a situation where she really, really needed it, and she couldn't summon it. Nothing. Her mind was blank. All that she could see was the foggy figure of a woman. All she could feel was Beatrice's hand holding her own.

But then Beatrice had gone, and her hand flew out to take the next best thing, gripping Thomas' arm and shuffling closer to him as the woman seemed to stand and observe them, an almost childlike giggle emitting from the cloud. It sent shivers down her spine and made her want to throw up.

She just wanted to go home. She wanted her daddy. She wanted her parents and her brother and for Beatrice to come back and for the woman to leave them alone. The fact that she was just standing there, watching them, wasn't making her feel any better. It was making her feel worse. She could hear her own stiffled sobs in her ears, hand that was clasped over her mouth becoming damp with tears, trying to stop herself from having a panic attack. She hadn't had one in years. But she could feel it coming. Her breathing beginning to speed up.

Gods, she hoped Beatrice had a plan.

Welcome to the Moment - Page 3 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Welcome to the Moment    Welcome to the Moment - Page 3 EmptyTue May 29, 2012 6:32 am

Katia giggled as the boy replied to her comment, standing back as they turned round to face her. The little girl promptly burst into tears, though she did try to stop them from what Katia could see. The boy was the only one who seemed willing to address her, though his voice seemed higher than it had the first time she heard him speak. When the tallest ran, Katia debated giving a good chase, but the sight of the little girl clinging to the boy just had her wanting to stay and play with them.

"Aw, aren't you precious?" she cooed as the girl continued to sob and shake. "Do I get to play with the little couple?" she asked, clapping her hands in excitement. "Oh, I've always wanted to play with a couple! I just played with the pretty people, and now I get the little nervous pair!" she pulled out her wand, pointing it between the two. "Though I have been told that I'm not allowed to be too mean, apparently I'm not allowed to 'drive you away'," she drawled, mocking Fyedka's excuse.

"So I'll be nice. Nicer than I was to the last boy. Besides, you look like little scared mice! I couldn't ever hurt you too much, just, maybe a little bit..." she began circling them, playing with her food. She leant forward as she stood behind them, placing a hand on each shoulder, her wand jabbing into the boy's cheek. "How about a little pain for my brave little soldier, hum?" she teased, before crossing her wand under his neck, pressing it tight so it dug into his skin. "Or perhaps your little girlfriend? Or..." she stepped back, pointing her wand at them both. "You both at the same time!"

With one quick swish, Katia expelled a large snake from her wand, watching as it began to circle the two, wrapping them in it's clutches. Katia began to dance from foot to foot as she watched, clapping her hands as if there was a song in the background, though in her mind there was, watching the snake begin to wrap tighter. "I think this snake needs some heat. They're cold blooded, you know. Perhaps I should set it on fire."

Welcome to the Moment - Page 3 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Welcome to the Moment    Welcome to the Moment - Page 3 EmptyTue May 29, 2012 7:16 am

"What is it you want?" Thomas asked, a bit of firmness coming back into his voice. Beatrice had gone to get help, and even though he wished he could turn and calm Kiva down, he didn't dare turn his back on the person shrouded in fog. "Why are you even here anyway?" He asked, trying to stall for a few more minutes. He needed a spell. Any spell, just a spell that he could use to fight back. He felt like he had to help Kiva especially, she just wasn't able to handle this, and with Beatrice gone, he'd have to keep this person occupied.

He had to admit he was genuinely surprised at the comment about 'driving' them away. He almost flinched when he felt the wand jab sharply into his cheek. It stung slightly, but he knew this person could do much worse. "She's not my girlfriend, I only met her just before this chaos happened." he snapped back. Him retorting would be surprising, right? Maybe surprising her would keep her on her toes just long enough.

His eyes searched into the fog, trying to find the person's eyes. It had to be a person after all, he just didn't know how this fog or mist worked. He winced as the wand moved down to his neck, digging in slightly. "Why are you here?" He asked again, fear starting to make his heart pound and make him sweat slightly. "Are you all too scared to show yourself?" He pressed, praying that Kiva could pull herself together soon.

His eyes practically bugged as a snake was conjured from the smoke, and he had to stop himself shouting as it started to wrap itself around both him and Kiva. He needed a spell now. He took a sharp intake of breath as it started to wind around them tighter and tighter. He almost felt the grip on his wand slip, but he kept it in his grasp, barely. "D-Diffindo," he choked out. That severed, right? That might at least cause the snake to release or something. He dearly hoped it wasn't set alight like the person was promising. "Surprised you're not going worse, you sound like you don't care about 'driving us away'" he gasped out. Just a bit longer, soon help would arrive, right? If he sounded like he had guts (though in all honesty Thomas was petrified) then maybe he'd buy the time they needed. He just hoped it would be enough. Where was Beatrice?

"I'm fine," Zach said in response as Ginny clutched his arm. "Are you-"

Everything seemed to happen pretty fast then, when he was shoved out of the way with force he didn't even know the woman had, and then she was doubled over in pain as the curse hit her. He was about to protect her when the blonde figure sent a cloud of red fog. Oh Merlin, what was it? He knew what it was. What...?

His jumper started to singe away and he knew he had to act fast before his skin did the same. Taking in a deep breath and gritting his teeth, he swept his arm through the mist as quickly as he could, whipping out his wand and gasping on contact with it as a searing pain attacked his skin, before uttering the counter-curse. He glared at the blonde woman. "Bitch, that was my favourite jumper," he snapped, before raising his wand and bellowing "Stupefy!" in quick succession, hoping it hit as he turned his attention to Ginny. She had mentioned Albus. Quickly, he looked around, in time just to see Funny Name and Blondie dart under a table. The dark haired head girl was now facing off another one of them, and he lined his wand between reams of people before casting another stunning spell at the man Head Girl was facing off. He felt satisfied when he saw the man tumble to the ground.

"There is a reason I'm a charms teacher," he muttered to Ginny, before hollering over to the two under the table. "OI! FUNNY NAME! BLONDIE! RUN!"

Casting a few more stunners as he moved to hold Ginny up in support, he frowned. "I wonder if anyone has a spare jumper. I feel a bit exposed."

Molly stared at the minister, almost falling asleep as his speech droned on. She was happy that they didn't make them attend something like this when she was in Hogwarts because back then she would have probably fallen asleep like she was about to now. She caught movement out of the corner of her eye and noticed, to her surprise, Ashley was there.

She smiled and started to walk over to him but before she could reach him the crowd started to panic. Molly grabbed out her wand and held it in front of her. Of course this would only happen when I'm on duty. It was then she saw the minister fall victim to a cruciatus curse. She almost ran to his aid but then she remembered Ashley.

The blonde glanced nervously at Ashley and back to the Minister. There must be other aurors on duty, they can help him. With one final glance she turned and ran over to Ashley. "What the hell is going on?" Molly asked frantically.

Somewhere fading in and out of consciousness, Louis heard a voice above him. Oh Merlin, I'm dead, aren't I? Brilliant. But then he heard the name Dom, and he tried to open his eyes, the lights very suddenly bright. "Dom," he croaked. "Thank M-Merlin you... I... What's the time?" His mind was blurred with confusion and exhaustion.

He reached out for his sister, not quite sure where she was but overwhelmed with gladness and relief that she was there. He would be okay. He was going to be okay. But he was still hurting so badly and feeling so terrified and sick. He would never normally show Dom any affection at all if he could help it. He had never been so pleased to hear her voice in his entire life. "Dom," he mumbled, eyes slipping closed again, "Y'know I was mean to you once? Like... way mean. Sorry 'bout that."

Welcome to the Moment - Page 3 Empty

Chaos. That was the only word to describe what was going on around him. One minute he was bored and looking around to see if he could find an escape and the next windows were exploding and there were more people then there had been. The Minister was downed and there was screaming, running, and magic flying through the air left and right. When the first windows had exploded and things started getting weird, Ashley had thrown his hands over his head ducking and wildly looking around.

Today, now, he was going to behave like the typical Slytherin and save his own skin. Everyone else was on their own. For this one time the teenager was quite glad that he had no friends. He wouldn't have to have such a moral delima about leaving them or going to try and help. Or so he was thinking but then when his blue-gray gaze caught sight of a particular Ministry worker he froze for a fraction of a second before going to meet her halfway. When she asked him what was going on he stared at her. "How the bloody hell would I know? I was just here for the trip then this!"

Ashley grabbed Molly''s hand and tugged as he gestured with his head. "Think we can make it to the floo?"

Welcome to the Moment - Page 3 Empty

There was no words to describe the pain that Ginny was going through. It covered every inch of her being, loud hissing in her ears, snakes on her head writhing about as if they were also in pain. Saliva built up in her mouth, eyes beginning to water, screaming silently, unable to speak or breath. Unable to even scream through the pain.

And then it was all over, and Ginny felt her head rest on the hard floor, panting breathlessly as she tried to recover herself. Pushing herself on her feet, she looked up to see that Zach was casting a spell at another figure cloaked in smoke, a smile tugging at her lips as he called out to who she assumed was her son and his friend. "I-I object to that, you're implying I gave my child a funny name," she croaked, straightening herself best she could, wand still gripped tightly in her hand.

"We're under attack and your biggest concern is finding a jumper?" she asked, though there was a smirk on herface. "Please, not like anyone's going to be looking at you. Even if there wasn't lots of chaos going about."

Her tone quickly changed. "People need evacuating," she turned back to the table that Albus had been under just in time to see it being transfigured to cover them. "The students, who can't apparate. They need taking out of here. I need to take my son to safety," she looked up at Zach. "The older students who can apparate should take the younger ones. You know the students. Do you think you can find a way to make that happen?"

Dom reached out for her brother's hand, squeezing his fingers, just to make sure he knew that she was really there. "Apologize to me again once we're home and you're all fixed up, so I know you mean it." she responded, her voice feeling out of breath, but she forced herself to keep her normal teasing-tone in place. "I'm going to take you home now, Lou."

She looked at his injuries, biting her lip. "But first I'm going to try to make some of the pain go, okay?" she knew she needed to work fast and talk quietly, so they wouldn't get unwanted attention. She pointed her wand towards her brother's chest, wincing at the bright red, bloody, painful looking, disgusting letters that someone had designed - someone that she wanted to hurt, but she couldn't focus on that right now. There was no time to be distracted or angry. Not yet. She knew that she couldn't remove the injury, but at least she knew a handful of healing spells that might make the pain less so apparating wouldn't tear Louis apart.

"Just try to hold on tight, Lou." Dom breathed out, wrapping her arms tightly around her brother, before she closed her eyes and apparated them both out of the Ministry.

Ai saw the spell and the man in front of her fell. She turned her head to see Professor Smith with his wand out. He shouted something to the kids under the table. Ai snapped to attention and ran to the table.

"Come on" She said. "I'm not leaving until I get you three out of here" She held a hand out towards Albus. "We have to get out of here. I can apparate, but I've never apparated with other people before" She looked around nervously. "Either way, we need to leave the ministry now!"

Welcome to the Moment - Page 3 Empty

Mitchell arrived at the Ministry a little later then everyone else. He had been given strict orders not to kill anyone right now so he had to stop for a quick bite before he came. With all the people, and hopefully all the bloodshed, he wouldn't have been able to control himself and he would have attacked someone, wizard or avenger. He had settled on a couple of muggle girls. Usually he would have chosen a little more of a challenge but he was in a hurry.

He looked around and grinned. He had arrived just in time and everyone was already in a panic. His fellow avengers already had people on the ground, letting them know that evil was back. This day was going to go down in the history books. He saw people already starting to leave and he knew if he wanted any fun he had to act fast.

He scanned the crowd for anyone who looked slightly interesting. A girl with black hair [Ai] and a couple of kids hiding under a table [Albus and Scorpius] caught his eye. Mitchell grinned and weaved his way through the crowd over to them. "Ello love" He whispered in her ear before he took out his wand. "Going somewhere?"

Ai let out a gasp as she heard a male voice whisper in her ear. She withdrew her hand from Albus and spun around, trying to shield the kids under the table with her body.

She was pressed against the table as she turned, meaning there was no where to run. She hoped that he ignored the students under the table.

"I was just about to leave this fantastic party" She said dryly. "As Head Girl, it's my duty to see to it that the students get back safely" She jutted out her chin. "The name's Ai. Ai means Love in Japanese, you know" She shrugged. "I guess you got my name right, in a way" She refused to back down or show cowardice to this man. "And you are?" She was stalling, but she wanted all of his attention on her and not the kids under the table.
